Who doesn't like the bad guys? I've always had an affinity for them. I wanted to know who they were and how they operated. Well these decals from Furball Aero-Design highlight the 'psuedo' bad guys, the OPFOR or Aggressors as the Navy calls them. The F-5N and F-5F adversaries are some colorful aircraft used to replicate potential bad guys.

There are eight aircraft included on this sheet. They have markings that are sure to motivate you to build one of these. These are quite colorful and offer a variety of paint schemes.

The decals are packaged in a large ziplock bag with full color instructions for every aircraft. Inside you are treated to high quality paper printed on both sides in beautiful color. Each aircraft has it own page. There are five 8.5 x 11inch sheets. The cover shows the colorful selection. Then the aircraft are shown. There are seven F-5Ns and one F-5F. The back page contains the stencil instructions.

The actual decals are printed by Cartograph so you know they are world class. They are thin and opaque. They are quite colorful. There are enough stencils to do three aircraft. All the aircraft are from the 2017 timeframe.

If you build modern aircraft subjects, you're no doubt already familiar with Two Bobs Aviation Graphics decals. Owner Bob Sanchez is a USAF vet who has put in plenty of time around modern jet aircraft. His firm produces some of the best quality decals available for unusually marked and typical line examples of modern aircraft subjects.

The subjects of this set are two Block 40 F-16Cs from the 36th FS of the 51st FW based at Osan AB, South Korea. The first example is an F-16C Block 40, s/n 89-2043, specially painted to celebrate the Centennial of the "Flying Fiends" in October 2017, with two red "swooshes" and checkerboard graphics on the vertical stabilizer and checkerboard accent graphics on the rear fuselage canards. The second example is an F-16C Block 40 line bird, s/n 88-0540, sporting the typical squadron markings from April 2008 of a redfin stripe, galloping mustang graphic and a black checkerboard band across the vertical stabilizer.

The USS George H.W. Bush is the latest aircraft carrier in the US Navy arsenal. The carrier was deployed in 2017 as the flagship of Operation Inherent Resolve. On its decks were the many variants of the F/A-18, in the guise of the C, E, and F as well as the EA-18G. Furball Aero-Design has gathered this information and provided it to the modeler.

The decals are packaged in a large ziplock. They are printed by Cartograf so you know they are world class decals. The colors are in perfect register with good color saturation. My decals were so large that I couldn't seal them. I cut the bottom and top of the sheet to make it fit the packaging.

The decal sheets contain markings for 18 aircraft, five F/A-18Fs, eight F/A-18Es, three F/A-18Cs and two EA-18Gs. The aircraft carry markings that are both colorful and subdued. The decals are on two large sheets. One sheet is full of the colorful markings. There are a whole lot of colors and they are all crisp with first rate artistry. The second sheet is full of the black and grey markings. There is also a small correction sheet.

There are stencils for four complete aircraft.

If you build modern aircraft subjects, you're probably already familiar with Two Bobs Aviation Graphics decals. Owner Bob Sanchez is a USAF vet who has put in plenty of time around modern jet aircraft. His firm produces some of the best quality decals available for unusually marked and typical line examples of modern aircraft subjects.

The subjects of this set are nineteen examples of B-2 "Spirit" stealth bombers of the 509th Bomb Wing, stationed at Whiteman AFB, MO. They include the "Spirits" of America, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Texas, Missouri, California, South Carolina, Washington, Kansas, Nebraska, Georgia, Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, Oklahoma, Kitty Hawk, Pennsylvania and Louisiana, each with their distinctive gear door graphics markings. There are only 20 B-2's in the USAF inventory, and one is assigned to testing duties. So this set allows you to model any of the current inventory stationed at Whiteman.

Note: Part II of my review for the Two Bobs F-16C Alaskan Splinter decal set 48-262 contains much of the information included in the original review, but has added information for the painting and decaling of a Hasegawa 1/48th scale F-16C. This is addressed under "Application" below.

Two Bobs

Two Bobs Aviation Graphics offers decals in 1/72nd, 1/48th and 1/32nd scales for most modern US Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps military aircraft. There are also sheets for some Russian, Chinese and British modern jet aircraft. In addition, Two Bobs offers a 1/48th scale T-2C Buckeye and a T-45C Goshawk, a publication, and sanding sticks.

Their website supplies images of their decal sheets so the buyer will know what is being purchased. One nice feature that I really like is the inclusion of the FS numbers for the various camouflage color schemes on their full color instruction sheets.
