The Fw 190 A-6 was a transition aircraft that had many of the features of the earlier versions of the Focke-Wulf fighter as well as some new items that became the norm on the later versions. As such, it required a unique set of turned-metal barrels. Why do I need turned metal barrels and pitot tube? I'll tell you why: no seams or mold marks to clean up, your parts are perfectly round, and the brass is strong enough to resist bending and breaking.

The first thing you will see inside the ziplock bag packaging is the nine individual items, packed separately. The instructions are typical Master Model quality, easy to understand, and show the length of all the items. The beautiful pitot tube is long and has the appropriate thickness. This is an essential element for me, as the pitot tube extends from the mid-wing. If you are like me, you will invariably hit it, and if was made of plastic, I'd bend or break it. The beautiful brass replacement gives you a perfectly round tube which is thin and strong.

Master has included the blast tubes for the wheel well area as well as the MG-151 guns with perfectly formed hollow barrels. The inboard and outboard MG-151s are beautiful in their simplicity.

The armament set wouldn't be complete without the cowl guns. These are little gems. The ends are hollow and perfectly formed, and they also have gorgeous cooling holes in the barrel jacket.

All these parts need is a good coat of primer and paint to bring your Fw 190 A-6 to life. The price is very reasonable, in my opinion. I've used Master products before and every time, they fit perfectly, the look awesome, and are highly recommended.

Thanks to Master and IPMS/USA for the review copy.
