Res-Im (Resin Improvement) is a Czech company that specialized in resin detail sets, mainly in the 1/48 and 1/72 scales.

This set is for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I gun bay, for the 4 guns wing. Inside a sturdy box you get a total of 18 resin pours for a two full gun bays -starboard and port wings-. The parts are extremely delicate and in some cases there is a very thin resin layer covering a hole or an opening that might need to be cleaned with a sharp blade before installation.

The pours are in a light grey-green resin and the resin itself is a tad brittle. I accidentally broke off a very thin part from the pouring slab (but the part itself was undamaged). My pictures don't show repeated/duplicates resin pours.

Note that among the provided parts you get replacement access panels, which means that you can use a drill to remove the access panel from the plastic wing, then file and shape the gun bay opening and you have a very nicely detailed -and scale thin!- wing access cover to pose next to the gun bay.

The total of 10 simplinstructions show a e and clear steps (for the port wing, be aware that a few parts are handed, meaning the left and right parts are not interchangeable). This actually means you could detail two different models, one with the left wing and another with the right wing, if you would like to do so.

One final word: While this is recommended for the Italeri kit, I'm pretty sure that with some modification you can adapt it to other models, like the Hasegawa.

Recommended for modelers with experience working with resin parts.

I would like to thank Res-Im and IPMS/USA for the review sample.
