Recently I was given the opportunity by IPMS USA to review Eduard's canopy masks for the new 1/32 Revell Me262B-1 kit. One of the first things to notice with this product is the excellent presentation of the packaging with the easy to open flap. Package includes a single sheet of kabuki paper masks for the canopy panels and also the wheel hubs.

Upon removal of the masks from the package I was able to easily remove the masks from the paper and apply to appropriate section of the canopy. The instructions included with the masks gives you a good feel for which panel you are working with compared to how canopy is actually sectioned off. The masks lay down well and no trimming had to be done to center up the masks with the canopy framing.

Once I had airbrushed the interior color on the canopies (RLM 66) I let dry for a couple of days and then sprayed the overall color (RLM 76). After allowing time for the 2nd coat to dry I was able to easily remove the masks and ended up with nice, crisp framework detail and clean, clear canopies. The wheel hub masks are supplied as outer circumferential parts only due to raised details on the hubs. I did not use these for masking due to use of the Brassin wheels from Eduard for this aircraft come with masks of their own.

Overall the masks are a great addition to the Revell kit, if you are the modeler that doesn't like to mask stuff by hand then these are for you. I recommend these to anyone that has minimal skills in building model aircraft.

I am well pleased with this offering from Eduard. I would like to thank Eduard for a great product and IPMS USA for the opportunity to review this item.
