Recently I was given the opportunity by IPMS USA to review Eduard’s ZOOM set for the new 1/32 Revell Me262B-1 kit. I waited and waited for the new 1/32 Revell Me262B-1 to be released in the States and that day has not come yet so I bought one from Germany. One of the first things to notice with this product is the excellent presentation of the packaging with the sealed flap on the back of package to allow for easy access to parts.
Upon removal of the photoetch from the package you will notice the great level of detail on the pre-painted pieces that make up the interior detail set. There is a lot of great detail that covers the front and rear instrument panels, side instrument controls, plus side fuselage detail. This is typical instrument detail from Eduard with the 2 piece construction that includes dials and colored overlay. Construction is easy with a good instruction sheet with the hardest thing to do is to trimming of the existing detail from the plastic that is included in kit.
The Zoom set is a great addition to the kit and brings a more realistic feel to your cockpit when finished. If you have used photoetch in the past you will have no problem with the skill level needed and the package comes with everything you need to make a realistic looking interior for you 262. I also reviewed the Steel line of seatbelts for this kit as you will see in the pictures, both of these sets when combined make an awesome interior.
I am well-pleased with this offering from Eduard. The level of detail is way better than other kits, with less work spent detailing by hand.
I would like to thank Eduard for a great product and IPMS USA for the opportunity to review this item.
