I'll be the first to admit that I haven't used a lot of Brengun products over the years. This has nothing to do with their quality - more like modeling inertia. Often by the time I see a need for additional detail on an aircraft kit, I've reached the point of impatience where I simply want to get the thing done. This has not always worked in my favor.

An area where 1/32nd scale kits, especially older ones, often let the modeler down is in the area of the gun sight - one of the most visible aspects of any cockpit from the era. Due to the limitations of injection molding, these are often represented by little more than lumps of plastic with only the faintest resemblance to the real article. Brengun has done something to fix this problem.

Brengun's British Gunsights set offers three different and complete gunsights for the modeler, with every aspect of the devices carefully reproduced in miniature. Each gunsight comes in two finely molded resin pieces, with photoetch frame details and clear acetate for the lenses. Made up properly, they are true replicas of these important and highly visible devices. I have an old Revell Tornado I'm currently working on that is definitely going to be improved with this addition. Frankly, I'm at a loss as to why I haven't investigated these lovely products earlier. As value for the price, you really can't go wrong.

I heartily recommend these products to any modeler of 1/32nd scale aircraft who wants to take their precious final product to the next level. As critical as I can be of products of this sort, I can literally find no cause for complaint on any level - the quality of detail along with the reasonableness of the price is a hard combination to beat. You might want to linger on Brengun's web site a bit to see all the other lovely items they have for sale as well. It's definitely time well spent. My grateful thanks to IPMS/USA for a chance to review (and use) these lovely products as well as to Brengun for their continued excellence in meeting the needs of the modeler.
