The feature article of September's issue covers some of battleships of the Pacific during the Second World War. They use the Hasegawa 1/450th Yamato (there are actually two builds of this particular model by two builders), Fujimi 1/700 Kirishima, Pit Road 1/700 USS North Carolina 1944, Dragon 1/700 USS Pennsylvania 1944, and the HP Models HP 1/700 USS Tennessee 1944 as representatives of some of the vessels that were used by the Allies and Axis. Each model is beautifully built and accompanied with color photographs during the build and b&w in-action photos. This article encompasses thirty six pages of this issue.

Next up are a few small articles. The first is titled "Combined fleet organization course." This features the Aoshima 1/700 Fuso Class IJN Battleship Yamashiro. The article consists of a few color and b&w photos and shows the model in completion. Following that is a very short article on the configuration of U.S. Battleships from 1905 to 1945. This is composed of several period photos and line drawings.

The next article has to do with modeling the JASDF. This month is the continuation of the build with the Platz 1/72 F-1 fighter. Along with photos of the kit, there are photos of the actual aircraft.

The "New Kit Review" is next. This month's new kits are as follows: KItty Hawk 1/48 Dassault Mirage F.1B, Trumpeter 1/35 Soviet BMP-1P IFV, Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk. IXc late version profiPACK, Airfix 1/72 Hawker Typhoon (this looks like a real gem of a kit from the photos provided for all you 72nd scale guys - it has engraved panel lines, complete gun bays, and detailed wheel wells), and the Gumka 1/12 Kawasaki 750SS Mach IV 1972.

The last article is the "Neo Historic Garage." This is a monthly feature. The kit this month is the Aoshima 1/24 Hilux 4WD.

The rest of the magazine covers future kit releases, decals, aftermarket parts, and ads for hobby shops.

I feel that these are great magazines. Yes, they may be in Japanese, but the photography is awesome. I have also discovered a translator app that I can use. There is a slight loss of translation, but you can usually get the point.

I would like to thank Model Art and IPMS/USA for the opportunity to review this magazine.
