Morland Studios produces an excellent line of 32mm and 54mm figures, 200mm busts as well as bases and scenics with the focus on quality display miniatures. This review is the 32mm Poor Cinderella sculpted by Kevin Contos and based on the artwork of Howard David Johnson. This item is 32mm and comes with four parts. There is a base with the main figure and then the two baskets. The base is plastic and the rest of the parts are white metal. All the parts are very well cast and required only some minor scraping to remove the seams. I primed all the metal parts with Alclad gray. When dry, I glued the figure to the base for ease of painting.

The painting started with the face. I used Scale 75 paints for the face. As you can see in the pictures, this is a small kit (I added a penny for size. A lot of time was spent using a visor. Acrylics were used throughout. One thing that hits you immediately is the astounding amount of detail- from the apples in the baskets to the detailing of the clothes, it is just everywhere.

Once complete, I added some Durham's Rock Hard to cover the base attachment points. This was washed with browns and blacks. The baskets were added and the entire kit given a coat of flat.

This is a superb kit and easy to build. Get yourself a couple of cheater glasses or Optivisors as it is small but is every well made and detailed. Definitely recommended- and if you look at their web site, this kit also comes in 1/6 scale which is almost a foot high.

My thanks to Morland Studio for the opportunity to review this gem of a kit.
